Option 1 - Employer Checks ID Documents
In normal circumstances the employer or organisation checks the
applicants ID documents when they fill in the Standard Disclosure Application form,
usually at the job interview.
(The information pack we send you explains how these
checks are done).
In some circumstances however, it is not possible for the
employer / organisation to do this, particularly when your applicants or members are geographically dispersed for example.
APCS can deal with your applicants directly with the following helpful services
|
|
The employers involvement is limited to putting
the applicant in touch with APCS initially, and receiving the Disclosure at the
end of the process.
How it works:
ID Checking at the applicant's local post office.
With Option 4:
The applicant is required to Pay £5.11 at their local post office to have their ID documents checked.
This is not refunded by the employer.
Procedure:
1). The applicant contacts us by phone and tells us that their employer or organisation has an arrangement with us for Disclosures with Remote ID Checking.
Please tell the applicant to quote the name of your Company or Organisation and ask for:
- Standard Disclosure - Option 4
2). We send the applicant a CRB application form.
3). The applicant completes their form and takes their ID documents and application form to a local Post Office where
the documents are checked and returned to the applicant.
Note: The applicant will be charged £5.11 at their local post office for the post office to check their ID Documents.
4). The applicant then sends the CRB application form
and evidence of the ID checking to us and we process the application from there.
5). When the disclosure process has been completed by the CRB, both the applicant and the employer / organisation will receive a copy of the Disclosure Certificate.
Payment
Option 4
We invoice the full amount to the employer, or organisation (or the individual depending on the arrangements you have with your employer / organisation).
